TCS Receives Symbol Technologies' U.S. Enterprise Mobility Award

ANNAPOLIS, MD -- December 07, 2006 -- TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) (NASDAQ: TSYS), a leading provider of mission-critical wireless data solutions, today announced the company was awarded Symbol Technologies' 2006 U.S. Enterprise Mobility Award. TCS was selected for its deployment of Symbol's MC9060 rugged mobile computers with TCS' 20/20 Delivery™ solution at a large national healthcare company.
The TCS 20/20 Delivery solution provides real-time status for deliveries and information on the location and delivery receipt of healthcare products, allowing the healthcare company to adopt a paperless system -- reducing costs and eliminating the need for storage of printed proof of delivery.
With TCS' precise Xypoint® Location Platform, 20/20 Delivery enterprise customers can track drivers and loads throughout the day. Location-based Services (LBS) software enables real-time asset tracking and delivery support. Additionally, it supports a wide array of specialized services, including in-field navigation, Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking and geo-fencing.
