MapInfo Announces the Meridian Awards to Recognize Innovative Global Location Intelligent Customers

Troy, NY—February 21, 2006— MapInfo Corporation (NASDAQ: MAPS), the leading global provider of location intelligence solutions, today announced the 2006 MapInfo Meridian Awards™. This inaugural awards program recognizes MapInfo customers who are driving business innovation with dynamic uses of location intelligence. MapInfo will present the awards at MapWorld® 2006, its 13th annual global user conference, which is being held May 2-4 at the Pointe South Mountain Resort in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Meridian Awards will recognize MapInfo’s most outstanding customers in the following categories: “Organizational Impact,” “Changing the World,” “Technical Achievement,” “Unique & Unusual” and “People’s Choice.” MapInfo customers can nominate their organization for an award, nominate a partner’s or colleague’s solution or vote for their favorite application.
