Wilson County, North Carolina Selects GTG to Implement GIS Software Solutions
Printer Friendly versionPrinter Friendly

Goldsboro, North Carolina – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announced today that Wilson County, North Carolina has procured products from GTG’s GIS software suite. The County will be implementing gtg-address. This application is a desktop GIS solution that allows users to maintain street centerlines and address points via an intuitive ArcEngine based GIS application.

gtg-address is a productivity tool that allows an organization to interactively and accurately map the location of address records through an ESRI based ArcObjects interface. These addresses represent the GIS foundation for mapping the location of: Building Permits, Occupational Licenses, Code Enforcement, Utility Billing, Work Orders, Accounts Receivable and Planning & Zoning & Information. This data can also be fed into a Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) for Public Safety.

Leigh Wilson, GIS Technician for Wilson County’s Planning Department, stated that “gtg-address is a very efficient application for creating and maintaining addresses that has allowed us to move forward in the geodatabase environment”.

John Little, GTG’s GIS Director and project manager, states “Utilizing gtg-address will allow Wilson County to stream line their address assignment workflow by empowering the organization’s GIS users with an easy to use GIS maintenance application. In addition, migrating to an ArcObjects based stand alone addressing application will complement the County’s newly implemented SDE enterprise GIS.”

The County’s implementation of gtg-address continues to add to the rapidly expanding number of cities and counties that are utilizing GTG’s GIS solutions as a distributable and unifying technology.
