The City of Casa Grande, Arizona’s Police Department Selects GTG to Implement GIS Software Solutions

Portland, Oregon – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announced today that the City of Casa Grande, Arizona’s Police Department has procured products from GTG’s LG GIS software suite. The Police Department will be implementing LGdispatch.

LGdispatch is a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) mapping interface that provides E-911 dispatchers with an interactive map displaying the location of all emergency calls. GTG provides several LG products that provide a GIS interface for many public safety agencies throughout the United States.

The Police Department’s implementation of LGdispatch is a huge step in leveraging existing technology investments for use with GIS software. The Police Department has proven that GIS applications can be implemented quickly as a unifying technology.

David Kuhn, Western Regional Manager for GTG, said that “Casa Grande is a great example of how local government can leverage existing investments in order to maximize productivity and improve public services. He added “Casa Grande is taking the initiative to acquire cost effective solutions to improve public safety and realize operational efficiencies through technology.”
