Enertia Software Releases Integrated Mapping Applications

MIDLAND, Texas, June 14 -- Enertia Software releases new functionality for its integrated Upstream Energy products to integrate mapping functionality directly within the user interface.
Enertia Software successfully implements stand alone and vertically integrated software solutions to address any or all areas of the vertically integrated oil and gas company. Using GIS mapping standards, all property, equipment, facility or other user defined type of location can be easily spotted on a map. Using Enertia advanced filtering and lookup interfaces, data can be easily accessed and added to the map automatically from anywhere in the system. Data can be selected on the map and any report in the entire system can be automatically run, filtered to the selection from the map.
Standardizing on GPS has enabled the direct connection via Web interface to Microsoft Terraserver ( http://terraserver.microsoft.com/ ) for direct download of aerial photos and topographic map data that can be automatically added to the map interface. That same interface also extends the search capabilities of the Enertia map by using the location search utilities from Terraserver to position the Enertia map directly to the location selected by name or GPS Latitude and longitude.
Culture data integration has been tested and approved for Whitestar ( http://www.whitestar.com/ ) and Petroleum Geographics Corporation ( http://www.petroleumgeographics.com/ ) basemap data and will support any other data provider who can provide data in a standard shapefile format. This data can be overlaid on the Terraserver data and any Enertia database data to help draw polygon, polylines and shape and spot locations directly from the interface.
The initial version of the mapping product is designed as decision support mapping tool. Enertia can navigate, filter, report and easily visualize any data in the system directly form the map interface. Workshops are being announced for user training and enhancements for the benefit of the Enertia community with this initial release.
