AcroPlot Pro 2007 Released at Autodesk University 2006 in Las Vegas, NV
Printer Friendly versionPrinter Friendly

MCHENRY, Ill., Nov. 29 -- CADzation, a leading provider of industrial-strength software for converting AutoCAD® DWG files to PDF and DWF, announced the release of AcroPlot Pro 2007, their next generation of software which improves the ability of architects, engineers, and construction (AEC), manufacturing, and government agencies to finally create PDF files with true what-you-see-is-what-you-print (WYSIWYP) capabilities from AutoCAD® (DWG) files. "Lines merge" support makes it possible to display and print line work with overlapping intersections transparently in PDF files. Without "lines merge" functionality, AutoCAD files that are converted to PDF do not display or print exactly the same way in Acrobat® Reader® as they would from AutoCAD. Thus, breaking the promise of the PDF format for perfectly displaying and printing files without the application it was created from.

AcroPlot Pro 2007 includes 64-bit support for Microsoft Windows XP 64-bit and Vista. Since AEC, manufacturing, and government are now purchasing computers that are "64-bit ready," AcroPlot Pro 2007 is an application that CAD and IT managers can add to their list of 64-bit compatible applications. AcroPlot Pro 2007 includes a high-end Windows system printer driver, which is also 64-bit compatible, for creating PDF files from any software program. Using AcroPlot Pro with Bentley Microstation, Pro/E, SolidWorks, CATIA, and other solid modeling applications proves to create PDF files that are smallest in file size with exceptional quality.

CAD uses can now add text or image stamps to DWF files with AcroPlot Pro 2007 which makes the application invaluable for existing and new clients. Stamping plan sets and drawings is a daily occurrence for many companies using DWF files. AcroPlot Pro 2007 provides stamping when batch converting to DWF or reprocessing existing DWF files that only need a stamp added.

"We are pleased to provide CAD users with a high-end DWG to PDF and DWF solution that is simple and affordable," said Rodney McManamy, President of CADzation. "Having one application that can convert all the file types AEC, manufacturing, and government professionals use on a daily basis saves our clients time and money. We have implemented many of the requests of our current clients and as a result, AcroPlot Pro 2007 will quickly become the solution of choice for CAD and IT Managers in need of creating high-quality PDF and DWF files."

AcroPlot Pro 2007 can create PDF and DWF files with advanced capabilities like combining MS Word, Excel, PLT, TIFF, CALS, and other image formats at the time of conversion. Additional features that allow CAD users to modify plot settings associated with their CAD files before converting to PDF or DWF, saves a significant amount of labor and prevents the need to go into each AutoCAD drawing to make sure its correct for batch processing. Creating full- and half-size drawing sets is easy to do with AcroPlot Pro 2007.

About AcroPlot Pro 2007 Software
AcroPlot Pro converts an extensive list of file formats to either Portable Document Format (PDF) or Design Web Format(TM) (DWF), and includes three components: converting DWG to PDF from within AutoCAD, a separate Windows application, and a Windows virtual printer driver. Unlike other applications that create PDF or DWF files, AcroPlot Pro 2007 has advanced capabilities for creating both formats from one application making it an unmatched solution.
