Goldsboro, NC – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announced today that the City of Kingsport, Tennessee has procured additional products from GTG’s LG GIS software suite. The City will be implementing LGfires.

LGfires is a simple, easy-to-use GIS software product seamlessly integrated to Kingsport’s existing fire incident data. It offers the fire departments refined spatial tools required in today’s high-tech world. LGfires allows an end-user to generate plumes to predict hazardous material impact areas. The user can pick from a variety of atmospheric conditions, wind direction/speed and emission rates to create a hazard zone.

Curtis Hinton, CEO and Co-owner of GTG, stated that, “Kingsport continues to be a leader in GIS and IT integration in Tennessee. They understand that the true power of GIS is its ability to integrate disparate systems into one interface to solve problems and better protect citizens. LGfires will allow the City to better analyze their fire services and be much more proactive in protecting their citizens.”
