MapText’s Enhances Customer Experience on its Website

Plainsboro, NJ – August 21, 2007. MapText, Inc., the leader in automated cartographic text placement, has been enhancing customer experience throughout its website.
MapText is in the process of making its website more informative. Three components of this are the integration of online chat technology, the use of Microsoft Live Meeting for live demos, and narrated video tutorials.
In the past, visitors to MapText’s website (www.maptext.com) were required to fill out a contact form or email the sales department and then wait for the answer. MapText wanted to enable website visitors to get product and pricing information and have their questions answered in real time by chatting with a MapText expert. To achieve this, MapText selected HelpOnClick’s flexible online chat technology. MapText representatives are available to answer questions from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM EST. During other hours visitors can leave a message by clicking on the chat icon.
MapText’s products are extremely convincing when customers can experience them in operation and see the results in real time. MapText is licensing Microsoft Live Meeting for online demos tailored to the needs of the customer. It also uses Live Meeting for helping customers with support issues.
MapText already has on its website a narrated video tutorial of SmartLabel, the company’s text placement software for MapInfo (www.maptext.com/sl-demo.shtml). Video presentations of other products are expected to be launched soon.
MapText expects that the addition of multimedia demos and additional contact options will significantly enhance customer experience throughout our website.
