Michael Nicholson Elected Chair of the Locus Association
Printer Friendly versionPrinter Friendly

London, February 2007 – Michael Nicholson, the Managing Director and founder of Intelligent Addressing, has been elected as the new chair of the Locus Association. The Association was established in 2005 to represent the interests of private sector companies engaging with Public Sector Information (PSI) holders. The Locus Association aims to promote the maintenance and development of a vibrant, information-driven UK economy that ultimately works to the benefit of the public sector, private sector and the consumer.

Speaking after his appointment as Chair Michael Nicholson said: I’m delighted to have been appointed Chair of the Locus Association and look forward to raising the profile of Public Sector Information even further in the coming year. 2007 will be an exciting year following the recent publication of the Office of Fair Trading report into the Commercial Use of PSI, and Locus looks forward to the Government’s response to the report with great interest”.

Nicholson replaces Richard Pawlyn, who stepped down as chair after a very successful year during which the Association considerably advanced the debate on the status of Public Sector Information.
