LOJIC presenting GIS / CAMA integration utilizing DREAMaps Mapper at Statewide GIS conference

Franklin, TN -- Smart Data Strategies, Inc. announces today that the Jefferson County KY PVA and LOJIC are presenting their parcel editing and CAMA integration at the 2007 Kentucky GIS Conference in Louisville, KY July 30th – August 1st. One year ago the county implemented Smart Data Strategies’ DREAMaps Mapper to streamline the editing of its 300,000 parcels.
The Mapper implementation included the DREAMaps Transaction Manager that integrated parcel editing with their existing CAMA system reducing duplicate data entry problems as well as eliminating orphan parcel creation. This has made it possible to push map changes to CAMA almost immediately rather than weekly at best. Other benefits experienced over the past year by the county are much faster subdivision importing, and quicker and easier corrections and cleanup of lot lines due to the enhanced topology editing tools.

Smart Data Strategies DREAMaps Mapper,a customized – and customizable – extension to ESRI’s ArcGIS, consolidates the County’s primary tasks of land parcel mapping into a collection of intuitive workflows that help to automate common functions within ESRI's ArcMap environment while working with the Geodatabase. The software is a Commercial-Off-Shelf solution (COTS) to land parcel mapping requirements that enables an affordable and easy to implement solution.
