ROCHESTER, NY and EL SEGUNDO, CA - June 13, 2007 - Pictometry
International Corp., the worldwide leader in digital, aerial oblique
imagery and easy-to-use measuring software systems, and CyberCity 3D,
LLC, a leader in highly detailed, accurate, and semi-automatic 3D
modeling technology, today announced a business partnership. Under terms
of the agreement, CyberCity 3D will become a provider of 3D city models
for Pictometry's multi-level Pictometry Real3D(tm) solutions that
include Pictometry's Bronze, Silver, and Gold Real3D products.
Pictometry will market these solutions to its government and business
customers.
Pictometry's patented aerial imaging technology captures and catalogues
image libraries of entire cities, counties, and states. The company's
industry-leading software allows users to access up to 20 oblique
(3D-like) aerial photos of every square foot in an area, including every
building, highway, or other feature. The software also enables users to
easily and instantly obtain measurements such as distance, height, and
area directly from the Intelligent Images(r) as well as overlay GIS
data. As an ESRI Developer Partner, Pictometry also provides additional
ESRI solutions that include an ArcGIS extension, ArcIMS integration,
ArcSDE support, and a COM interface.
The Pictometry Real3D Medalist Suite of products offers a number of
cutting-edge 3D options that provide a broad range of 3D solutions for
Pictometry customers who require 3D models of their areas. Products
range from an entry-level 3D model that offers buildings without
textured side details, to a high-end 3D product that provides an
incredible, rich detailed visualization from an oblique aerial
perspective that zooms down to street level where storefront window
displays can be read. 3D City Models will be offered in a broad array of
commercial software formats which include ESRI shapefile/Multipatch,
open flight, and 3ds to name just a few.
"Pictometry's high resolution, oblique aerial photos provide an
unparalleled source of visual data that allows our 3D buildings to be
incredibly detailed and realistic. Combining Pictometry source data with
our 3D modeling technologies should allow Pictometry and CyberCity to be
global leaders in both pricing and product quality for quite some time,"
said CyberCity 3D President and CEO Kevin DeVito.
"3D solutions are a natural extension for our digital, oblique aerial
images," said Pictometry Chief Marketing Officer Dante Pennacchia. "The
applications for our joint solutions with CyberCity are virtually
endless when you consider all the possible uses in GIS, planning,
transportation, economic development, emergency management, as well as
engineering and in private business."
Both companies will be demonstrating the combined solutions at the
upcoming 2007 ESRI International User Conference in San Diego, CA from
June 18-22, 2007. CyberCity will be in booth number 2216 and Pictometry
will be in booth number 1821.
