Sutter County, California Selects GTG to Implement GIS Software Solutions
Printer Friendly versionPrinter Friendly

Longview, TX – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announced today that Sutter County, California has procured software and services from GTG. The County purchased an upgrade of two (2) additional licenses of LGmobile with LGcommunity connect. LGcommunity connect is a GIS software solution that allows both HTE Land and Public Safety users to integrate AVL with LG software. The software allows GPS enabled vehicles to be tracked via the GIS interface. It takes GPS data from vehicles and places a moving map symbol on the GIS map interface that corresponds to the vehicles location in the real world. Historical AVL information is maintained with the product.

James Kelt, Regional Manager for GTG said, “LGmobile with LGcommunity connect is one of the most powerful tools available to 911 first responders today. The ability to plot vehicle locations, Computer Aided Dispatch locations, GIS data, and a wealth of other real world information in a mobile map is a concept that has been on the ‘wish list’ of police departments across the United States for some time. LGmobile with LGcommunity connect accomplishes just that and much more. This application empowers Sutter County officers with the tools needed to help reduce crime and save lives.”
