ATLANTA, November 8, 2007 – GeoFields, Inc., today announced that its annual GeoFields User Conference exceeded attendance expectations and included a large number of new and experienced users. Hosted in Atlanta, Georgia, this year’s conference was attended by many leading oil and gas pipeline operators and attracted GeoFields software users from all over the United States.

“The GeoFields User Conference provides an excellent opportunity to network with peers, attend training sessions and help your organization to get the most out of GeoFields’ solutions,” said Keith Chambless, executive vice president at GeoFields. “We are pleased with this year’s participation and the continued growth of the GeoFields user community.”

The event, held at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Midtown Atlanta, was again a great success offering new and seasoned attendees insight and practical knowledge through more than 20 educational sessions including user presentations, product sessions, a business partner presentation and hands-on workshops. The varied sessions allowed participants to choose tracks according to their needs and experience level. The hands-on workshops gave participants a chance to use software in a classroom style environment. Hands-on workshops included:

  • Data Integration – Integrating Survey Data to the Corporate Database
  • Principles of Data Maintenance – FE-Data Maintenance
  • Alignment Sheet Generation – DataFrame ASG Prep Tool Basics
  • Reporting Integrity Data using DataFrame ASG

“The feedback from the attendees is overwhelmingly positive,” said Terry Allen, director of marketing. “We are glad to offer a forum for our clients to share their unique perspectives, problems and solutions with each other.”
