Pictometry Web Solutions Announce New Self Hosting Option
Printer Friendly versionPrinter Friendly

Rochester, NY - Pictometry International Corp., a leading provider of georeferenced aerial image libraries whose proprietary technology is used globally to capture oblique image libraries, introduces a new self hosting option for the Pictometry Web Solution suite of products. Pictometry Web Solutions products include Pictometry Online (POL) and Pictometry Simplicity Online (PSOL), both of which are web-based versions of Pictometry’s Electronic Field Study (EFS) software. This exciting new stand-alone self hosting option gives customers complete control over image data while combining the full functionality, features, and benefits of POL and PSOL – all with just an Internet web browser.

By simply installing the self hosting option on internal servers, users harness the power of a new Pictometry technology designed to rapidly navigate large quantities of image data. This option also makes it possible for users to deploy POL and PSOL enterprise-wide. Pictometry’s self hosting solutions will integrate with ArcGIS Server to provide mapping and GIS functionality within the POL and PSOL solutions.

Users of Pictometry Web Services can choose either or both of the POL or PSOL interfaces for searching, navigation, and measurement. (The POL interface also features advanced planning tools such as annotations, workspaces, and data sharing for the more advanced power users.) “Our customers said they wanted a self hosting option and we are now developing the technology to make it happen,” said Pictometry’s Dante Pennacchia, Chief Marketing Officer. “This is a premium solution for customers who want to optimize efficiencies and demonstrate a significant return on investment.”

To learn more, visit the Pictometry booth (No. 1411) at the upcoming ESRI show.

About Pictometry
Pictometry International Corp. is a leading provider of geo-referenced, aerial image libraries and related software. Pictometry has captured over 50 million digital aerial images in over 600 counties in the United States covering over 70 percent of the United States population. Pictometry’s imagery and software enables users to “See Everywhere, Measure Anything, Plan Everything”® using a patented digital information system.
