Longmont, CO - January 11, 2008 - geoXMF LLC, the industry leader in GIS performance monitoring, today reported on the addition of two new high-profile customers using XMF Alerter. Wyoming Department of Transportation and United Power have chosen XMF Alerter to monitor their fast-growing enterprise GIS applications.

“Enterprise GIS applications continue to grow as a mission-critical tool for businesses and agencies of every size,” said Dave Neufeld, Product Manager, geoXMF. “As organizations increase their reliance on GIS to deliver critical business information, the need for GIS performance monitoring also increases. WYDOT and United Power recognized this need as a key component of their overall information management plan.”

“Providing Wyoming road condition information via online maps is vital to transportation related business around the country and the traveling public,” said Ben Saunders, GIS Coordinator, WYDOT. “Our road condition maps can receive over 1 million hits a day during winter storm events so having reliable map delivery is a primary mission for us.”

“In three years, United Power’s GIS division has grown from one server covering all functions to 5 servers and over 40 field workers using mobile GIS hardware and software systems. XMF Alerter has helped us understand and improve the reliability of our GIS performance, especially our ability to avoid the ‘Monday morning crises’ that seemed to be happening too frequently,” said Diego Portillo, GIS Coordinator, United Power.
