Printer Friendly versionPrinter Friendly

Croydon, UK - July 10, 2008 – UK local authorities are set to benefit from a new online innovation that will allow documents with maps to be easily created and shared by different people working on the same project. The multi-channel publishing development is the result of a partnership between Geographical Information Systems (GIS) company GGP Systems and Limehouse Software, specialists in document creation and publishing.

Under the agreement the two companies will work together to create tailored solutions for the public sector, integrating the power of digital mapping within critical Local Authority documents, presentations and consultations. The partnership will harness the power of their complimentary technologies extending both companies’ already strong position within this market.

Solutions from both GGP Systems and Limehouse Software are well established and respected within the Local Authority market. Recently released GGP 2008 combines the latest versions of the GGP’s leading desktop GIS with eGGP, the mapping to web solution, and NGz the critically acclaimed gazetteer management software. These products offer high levels of interoperability allowing easy access to back office records and information held in other Council systems providing accurate, up to date and consistent information for decision making.

“GGP Systems deliver proven solutions designed to integrate geographic information within every aspect of Local Authority service delivery maximising return, not only on investment in software but also in data management,” said Paul Broerse, Key Partner Manager at Limehouse. “Our partnership will build on this success integrating the power of GIS within critical documentation, presentations and consultations.”

The Limehouse portfolio, including ucreate and uengage products, provides a virtual environment supporting team collaboration for the development of policies and strategies, delivers multi channel publishing capabilities and facilitates the involvement of stakeholders within the consultation process. Widely used within planning departments, for example, Limehouse solutions reduce the costs involved in producing complex documents by up to 40%.

“Limehouse are clearly market leaders in document creation, publishing, and consultation making them a natural partner for GGP,” said Michael Riley, General Manager of GGP Systems. “Location is critical for virtually every Local Government and being able to extend the powers of GIS to both non technical staff and citizens is crucial for improved service delivery and communication.”

Limehouse Software is a specialist in collaboration and publishing solutions for the public sector. The only company to offer a single solution that enables document centric collaboration for the development of policies and strategies and multi-channel publishing capabilities with an integrated end-to-end enterprise consultation system.
