Optimized for the Visual Studio 2008 development environment, Services Edition's new API takes Map Suite's renowned ease-of-coding to the next level. With even fewer lines of code needed to perform GIS functions, better use of IntelliSense and more coherent namespaces, developers can use Map Suite Services Edition to accomplish their goals with greater ease than the competition, or with previous versions of Map Suite.
Other major new features in Services Edition include support for Web Map Service (WMS), Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), and a wide variety of new spatial data formats like Oracle Spatial, PostgreSQL PostGIS, and Microsoft SQL 2008.
