Honolulu Board of Water Supply Selects geoXMF’s XMF Alerter™ Enterprise GIS Solution

Longmont, CO - May 13, 2008 - geoXMF LLC announced today that Honolulu Board of Water Supply (BWS) has chosen geoXMF’s XMF Alerter real-time monitoring and alerting solution for their enterprise GIS system. BWS decided to implement XMF Alerter as part of an overall solution to meet agency-wide GIS requirements. XMF Alerter will monitor intranet GIS performance across a distributed network connecting multiple departments accessing and serving GIS data.

The Board of Water Supply (BWS) manages O‘ahu’s municipal water resources and distribution system, providing residents with a reliable system and safe drinking water supply. As the stewards of O‘ahu’s most precious resource, the Board’s nearly 600 employees embrace this tremendous responsibility.

The Board of Water Supply chose XMF Alerter based on proven technology and added value of the geoXMF product to BWS’ IT and GIS services. Specifically, XMF Alerter will monitor map services which are utilized by the Board’s award winning HONU GIS (Honolulu ONline Utilities Geographic Information System) and be part of the overall IT services that includes the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) that was rolled out in July, 2007.

HONU GIS enables employees to quickly and easily access critical water system data and information. CMMS allows crew members to capture labor, vehicular/equipment, and parts and materials costs via work orders, time sheets will be automatically calculated at job completion, and an integrated electronic map will be readily available so that they can make better and more informed decisions in the field.

geoXMF is currently assisting Honolulu Board of Water Supply with the implementation of an enhanced version of XMF Alerter solution. geoXMF is projected to release this new enhanced version in May 2008 to existing customers and new clients.

About Honolulu Board of Water Supply
The BWS is the largest municipal water utility in the state, serving one million customers on O‘ahu with 55 billion gallons of water every year. In order to keep the water flowing, BWS must carefully and proactively manage and invest in its intricate system consisting of 95 active potable water facilities, 166 storage tanks, and more than 2,000 miles of pipeline servicing nearly every community on O‘ahu.
