Goldsboro, NC – Reserve your spot before it’s too late! Registration is open for Geographic Technologies Group, Inc.’s (GTG) upcoming GIS Manager’s Workshop in Forsyth County, Georgia, on November 20. The workshop will be held at the Forsyth County Public Safety Complex.

The GIS Manager’s Workshop will occur in conjunction with GIS Day, which takes place the day before the workshop. Forming part of the Atlanta metropolitan area, Forsyth County’s location will provide students with the practical knowledge many GIS managers must have to succeed.

“This workshop is just what I was looking for,” said a recent attendee of the GIS Manager’s Workshop. “It was a grounding class and will help refocus our GIS implementation efforts.” Topics covered in the workshop include Managing GIS, The Governance of GIS, The Enterprise Implementation of GIS, and The Business Case for GIS. All topics focus on local government. Learn how to guarantee funding for your GIS initiatives!

Forsyth County is just one location in the series of workshops that GTG’s owners, Curt Hinton and David Holdstock, are offering nationwide this year. To date, they have offered the workshop in North Carolina, Texas, Florida, California, and Washington. They plan on offering the GIS Manager’s Workshop at several upcoming conferences including SWUG on October 24, ILGISA on November 5, and NCGIS in February. For more information on this GIS Manager’s Workshop or to register, email training@geotg.com or visit us online at www.geotg.com/training.
