Northrop Grumman Showcases Comprehensive Suite of Geospatial Applications At GEOINT 2008

Nashville, TN - Northrop Grumman Corporation
(NYSE:NOC) will feature solutions to support national security and
defense next week at the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation's
GEOINT 2008 Symposium.
The exposition will be held Oct. 27-30 at the Gaylord Opryland
Resort and Convention Center, Nashville.
Northrop Grumman will highlight its recent acquisition of 3001
International, Inc., a provider of geospatial data production and
analysis, including airborne imaging, surveying, mapping and geographic
information systems for domestic and international government
intelligence, defense and civilian customers.
"The addition of 3001 International helps Northrop Grumman
further support the critical needs and priorities across homeland
security, emergency response, installation management and
counter-narcotics programs," said John Olesak, vice president of
geospatial intelligence for Northrop Grumman's Information Technology
sector.
Northrop Grumman's geospatial solutions for government,
military and intelligence agencies will be demonstrated at booth 233.
3001 International, Inc. will exhibit at booth 370.
Demonstrations on display in Northrop Grumman's booth include:
A route planning scenario integrates multiple Northrop Grumman
geospatial architecture framework capabilities to address a
range of customer requirements. The demonstration will include
semantic search, data conflation and fusion, sensor Web
enablement, and geoprocessing and visualization services.
Social Mining Analytic Collaboration (SMAC), developed by
Northrop Grumman, is a new way to approach intelligence
gathering. SMAC leverages Web 2.0 capabilities to provide a set
of advanced analytic tools within a secure collaborative
environment, helping analysts support their missions more
effectively. SMAC is operated on Northrop Grumman's FivePicture
Workstation, which simplifies the task of visualizing multiple
data sets, while enhancing collaboration and improving the
quality of analysis.
The Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Enterprise
Framework is a family of fixed and deployable ground processing
systems for multi-source tactical intelligence. It is a common
framework that forms the backbone for all Northrop Grumman DCGS
products and spans multiple services and agencies.
Trinidad is a low-cost-, low-risk approach to provide high-
resolution radar imaging to the U.S. military and government
agencies through a partnership between Northrop Grumman and
Israel Aerospace Industries. The highly agile system can
provide tactically useful synthetic aperture radar imagery that
significantly increases the nation's intelligence, surveillance
and reconnaissance capability.
