DRGclip (1 kb)
This extension will convert USGS DRGs to grids and "clip" away the area outside the map (the collar). The resulting grids can be added to a view as an image and will display in the same colors as the original DRG. This extension only works with DRGs in the UTM projection. This revision adds a second button to make the overlap area of the clipped grids transparent to facilitate tiling. The extension borrows from Mitchell Plummer's Grid.ClipToPoly script and the ArcView system script for image to grid conversion. You must have Spatial Analyst to use this extension. The zip file contains an updated version that should work with California DRGs that are in Albers. I left both versions in as I have not had a chance to test the updated one extensively. Any feedback to the author would be appreciated
