GDT & ESRI collaborate
One IMS application that I'm sure
you'll be hearing about in the future is a collaboration by GDT and ESRI
to create an online Spatial Data Maintenance Program for local government
agencies.
Community Update will give local providers
free access to GDT's database over the iternet. The agencies then can add
new features and attribute data and then resubmit to GDT directly. GDT
staff will then validate the information and make the appropriate enhancements.
The revised data is then returned over the internet to the agencies where
they can then use the data free of charge.
