Day 2 Keynote Address - Larry Diamond

As part of Wednesday's events, Larry Diamond, vice president of the Autodesk GIS Solutions Division, gave a keynote address where he shared with attendees the latest news from the division, including the new Autodesk Civil Series and Autodesk Raster Design, and his vision for Autodesk's GIS solutions. In his presentation, Diamond highlighted how Autodesk is helping customers to solve some of their most complicated and challenging workflow problems including reducing the amount of paper-based information in the design process and having to enter and re-enter data multiple times. According to Diamond, these redundancies lead to data inaccuracies and slow the design process, which together, has been costing designers hundreds of millions of dollars a year.

Diamond illustrated to attendees how from the front office, to the back office, and into the field, and from data creation to analysis to distribution, Autodesk has powerful and innovative solutions for all parts of the design process. Diamond also highlighted how Autodesk's solutions can help unlock the value of design data by making it available beyond the creator so they can put it to new and innovative uses. This, according to Diamond, is the future of design, and Autodesk already has the solutions to make this happen.
