ESRI Telecom Summit Free! Sunday, July 7th, Room 28A, San Diego Convention Center
Please join ESRI in San Diego for the 1st annual ESRI Telecom Summit to be held in the San Diego Convention Center on July 7th, 2002. This meeting is for all ESRI
users in the telecommunications field, regardless of network type or department. Our users reflect the full spectrum of telecom professionals, from geomarketing managers
to radio frequency engineers, and this will be a rare chance to communicate with them all.
My Community, Our Earth: A Global Showcase of GIS for Sustainable Development Special Exhibit
SDCC, Ballroom 20, Upper Level
This exhibit will showcase the efforts of many GIS professionals who have been working toward solutions for sustainable development. The centerpiece of this event will be the secondary and university student exhibits of the “My Community, Our Earth: Geographic Learning for Sustainable Development” project (www.geography.org/sustainable). This project was organized by the National Geographic Society, Association of American Geographers, the United Nations Environment Programme, and ESRI. Sponsors include USAID, U.S. Dept. of State, U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, ESRI, ERDAS, U.S. Forest Service, Inter-American Development Bank, 3M Corporation, etc.
Amboseli Elephant Research Project, Kenya, Special Exhibit

Our Keynote Speaker, Ms. Cynthia Moss, the founder and director of the Amboseli Elephant Research Project, will be in this special exhibit area on Monday evening to show everyone some of the detailed work she has been doing over the past 30 years with the elephants in Amboseli National Park, Kenya. Along with her longtime friend, Dr. Harvey Croze, former director of the United Nations Environment Programme/Global Resources Information Database (UNEP/GRID) in Nairobi. Come see the amazing results of her work and learn more about the fascinating life of elephants!
