CALL FOR PAPERS GeoComputation 2001 24-26 September 2001 6th International Conference on GeoComputation Geographical Sciences The University of Queensland Brisbane, AUSTRALIA 4072 Email: sally.brown@uq.net.au (Sally Brown Conference Connections) URL: www.geosp.uq.edu.au/gc2001/ Papers are invited on all aspects of research within the broad field of geo-spatial computation. This GeoComputation Conference series brings together numerous scientists from different areas of research, who are interested in using the latest computational tools and techniques, or who have implemented similar computation-based approaches under alternative scenarios. GeoComputation is focussed on the research, development and application of spatial information technologies to address social, economic and environmental problems at human and geographical scales. The 6th International Conference on GeoComputation will be hosted by the University of Queensland. We solicit papers that address novel, challenging and innovative results on the on the interface between geography and computing. The key themes for the conference include, but are not limited to: Space-Time Dynamics High Performance Computing in Geography Interoperability and GeoComputation Intelligent Agents, Neural Networks and Fuzzy Computing Spatial Theory and Logics Diagnostics and Pattern Detection Real and Virtual Environments Applications of GeoComputation GeoComputation 2001 will include keynote lectures, paper, and poster presentations.
