Title: Enterprise solutions for your location data
Speaker: Steven Ramage
Company: Laser-Scan

Topology is hugely important in a wide range of applications throughout industry, from land management to utilities. By adding topology to existing data these applications will be vastly enhanced.

Radius Topology, the latest product from Laser-Scan, adds topological intelligence to data automatically within the Oracle environment; existing Oracle software and third party applications are unaffected. It offers significant time and cost savings through increased query performance and simplified applications.

Radius Topology involves the integration of Laser-Scan's spatial and object technology with Oracle's standard database; the dynamic topology management layer from Laser-Scan is integrated with Oracle9i, creating a server-side topological solution for handling the structure of spatial information.
