Synopsis:
As more mainstream IT businesses turn to geographic information to improve their solutions and their internal operations, it’s clear that a niche is opening for GIS companies to deliver solutions to meet this lucrative market.
Many organisations already operate a variety of systems and technology tools; they have no wish to incur cost by both replacing these investments with new ones and retraining their staff. It’s not difficult to see that the most valuable solutions will be those which are open and, above all, interoperable.
