Physical Geography Glossary of Terms V 1.0

Physical Geography Glossary of Terms is a FREE e-book that runs on PDAs using the Palm operating system (it does require the viewing program iSilo™ which costs $12.50 US - a 30 day demo of this application is included in the download file). This hyperlinked e-book contains definitions for about 1800 terms.

The information in this e-book can be used by high school and university students to help learn terms used in Physical Geography. It can also be used by teachers and professors as reference.

Requirements: Palm III, Palm OS 2.0, or iSilo. Uses 400kb of Palm RAM

Download: pda_glossary.zip 260 Kb

Download: p_g_glos.sit 258 Kb

From Michael Pidwirny (fact book developer) ... "We believe that hand-held computers will become increasingly popular, even in K-12 and higher education. Projections suggest that the sales of PDAs (personal digital assistants) will double or triple next year. So why not promote the study of geography on a PDA! Our program would also make a nice supplement to textbooks covering human geography, world regional geography and environmental science/studies."

Physical Geography Glossary of Terms was developed by Michael Pidwirny, Department of Geography, Okanagan University College.
