The busy conference season continues. Hopefully you managed to catch some of the material we published from this year's IGUG, held in Huntsville, Alabama late last month. GeoComm exhibited in Tech town and met a number of GeoMedia users. This years event was likely the last IGUG that will bring Intergraph users from around the world together. Intergraph has not only gotten out of the hardware business, but has verticalized, opting to establish vertical user groups as well as a more vertical business structure. The newly created Intergraph Geospatial Users Community will be holding its first annual conference on June 18-21, 2001 in Atlanta, Georgia. Ideas for papers are already being submitted – the deadline for submissions being September 29, 2000. All interested submissions should be directed to GeoSpatialUsersCommunity@intergraph.com

ESRI UC 2000
Coming Soon, ESRI User Conference 2000. I'm sure many of you are gearing up for this year's user conference, expected to bring over 10,000 ESRI users to San Diego during the week of June 26-30. This year's event will feature a large number of pre-conference seminars, education fair, ever popular map gallery, multimedia exhibit, technical sessions, and user group meetings. Fun activities include a golf tournament, tennis tourney, kids camp, awards, and Thursday night party. Once again, the GeoCommunity will be exhibiting and creating a frenzy by giving away a couple of thousand GeoCommunity T-shirts and mouse pads. This year's shirts are guaranteed to be one of the hottest freebies at the show (again!). We'll be meeting a number of you, as well as covering the show and posting commentaries, images, and interviews. We look forward to seeing you there, or at least delivering some updates to you.
