Mentor Sofware
Mentor Sofware's FREE Forward Inverse Ellipsoidal Calculations Program (FWDINV) has been updated for the Windows 95/98/NT environments. In the Forward mode, given a latitude/longitude, and a distance and Azimuth, FWDINV will compute a new lat/long. In the Inverse mode, given two locations by their geographic coordinates (i.e. Lat/Long), the program will compute the distance in azimuth between the two points. In all cases, the calculations are ellipsoidal. Download the program from Mentor's Web Site.

Get-a-map
Get-A-Map is a free internet mapping service provided by Ordnance Survey Britain's national mapping agency. Maps at up to 1:250 000 scale for the whole of Great Britain are provided free for users to print for personal and internal business use. In addition, a small number of images can be captured, (subject to a few simple conditions) for use in your own web pages.

R2V from Able software
R2V inputs bi-level, grayscale and color images in TIFF, GeoTIFF or BMP formats, exports vector data to ArcView Shapefile, Arc/Info Generate, MapInfo MIF/MID, AutoCAD DXF and MapGuide SDL formats. A full functional demo is available for free download.

Free ArcView Downloads
We're serving up a number of free ArcView downloads and if its not here, we'll point you to someplace that may have what you need. Recent additions include a utility to Connect MS Access data to a an ArcView theme, a utility that helps find duplicate values in a table, and a tool that enhances digitizing in ArcView.

Free Mapinfo Downloads
We've made numerous additions to these resources including a Distance measurement tool for MapInfo, a custom scalebar generation tool, a topological map editing tool for MapInfo, and a Dynamic HTML Layout Manager MapInfo. Remeber, if you contribute a resource for this section before December 20, you'll be entered in a draw to win "Inside Mapinfo".
