GeoBusiness Solutions Limited has won a major contract with the Rank
Group?s Leisure Division to provide GIS-based market and location analysis
to support Rank?s business.

Rank Leisure are the UK?s leading leisure operator with brands such as
Mecca Bingo, Grosvenor Casinos and Odeon Cinemas as well as a number of
nightclub operations.

GeoBusiness Solutions specialise in spatial modelling and customer analysis
and provide the expertise to support site location and marketing decisions.
The GeoBusiness team, Andy Thompson, Jonathan Walker and Steve Halsall, all
previous members of Rank Leisure Division?s Market Intelligence Department,
have a combined experience of over 25 years of GIS and retail modelling.
This experience will enable GeoBusiness Solutions to provide a wide range
of technical services to develop leading edge, low cost, high value,
customer focused solutions.

Biographies
· Andy Thompson joined Rank in 1996 as Site Analysis Manager from
Smallworld Systems where he was a senior technical consultant in the
Finance and Retail sector.  Prior to this, Andy worked for LaserScan on
retail accounts.  Andy has spoken at AGI and MRS conferences.
· Jonathan Walker joined Rank in 1996 as Senior Market Intelligence
Analyst.  Prior to this he worked as a consultant for Woolworths plc and
for GMAP where he headed a team delivering modelling projects to major UK
retail, financial services and leisure companies.  Jonathan was a speaker
at Retail Locations 2000 in April last year and will be speaking at the
Henry Stewart Gravity Modelling conference this April.
· Steve Halsall joined Rank in 1997 as a Location Analyst and was a key
player in development of an improved GIS analysis capability.  Prior to
joining Rank Steve was responsible for the maintenance and development of
GIS at leading property consultants DTZ Debenham Thorpe.  Steve was a
speaker at AGI98.
