SPATIAL NEWS - Recent News from the GIS world
So far October has been a pretty busy month as far as news and "new" stuff from the Geo-Spatial Industries. Here's some of the major happenings in October.
The Atlas of Cyberspace
Although not explicitly GIS focussed, the Atlas of Cyberspace is a very informative resource that shows some excellent examples of data visualization
and graphic techniques for respresenting spatial relationships. This is an atlas of maps and graphic
representations of the geographies of the new electronic territories of the Internet, the World-Wide Web and other emerging Cyberspaces.
There are numerouse examples and graphics, all with brief explanations and pointers to more detailed information.
Examples are available for Census Maps, Communications Maps, Web Maps, and some very slick ideas for web "site maps".
In addition to getting some great ideas for depicting your data graphically, you'll also
find pointers to some excellent resources and tools that will enable you to accomplish this.
You'll find the Atlas at http://www.cybergeography.org/atlas/
