If you surf the web as much as I do you may have noticed a trend in GIS conferences lately - webcasts and web conferencing.
The first 2 of 12 free on-line seminars took place in November, billed as GeonetCom.
GeonetCom is a no-charge educational online seminar
series targeting IT and GIS professionals within the
telecommunications and utilities industries as well as
local government. The 12-part series features topics
ranging from implementing enterprisewide GIS, to
creating virtual map rooms and implementing
Web-based vehicle tracking.
The next seminar is slated for Tuesday, December 7. There will be an actual demonstration of the internet GIS application Las Vegas
Water uses everyday day to speed thier workflow. If you
would like to register for this seminar, please go to www.geonetcom.com
and click on the "Seminar Registration" button at the top of the page.
You can find complete summaries of the first 2 seminars at our GeonetCom Section.
