Trimble Appoints Vice President of Operations


SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 20 - Trimble (Nasdaq: TRMB) announced today that Joseph F. Denniston, Jr., 40, has joined the Company as vice president of operations. In his role, he will be responsible for worldwide manufacturing as well as the distribution and logistics strategy.

"We are pleased to have Joe on board. He brings to Trimble a balanced skill set in manufacturing operations, supply chain management and contract manufacturing management," said Steven W. Berglund, Trimble's president and CEO. "Joe will help us establish new standards for the Company's manufacturing performance and help us to better integrate our worldwide operations."

Denniston comes to Trimble from 3Com Corporation. During his 14-year tenure, he held several positions including test engineering manager, director of manufacturing engineering, senior director of operations, senior director of product operations, and vice president of supply chain operations for the Americas. Prior to joining 3Com, he served over five years at Sentry Schlumberger as a system test specialist and test engineer. Denniston received a B.S. in electrical engineering from the Missouri Institute of Technology in 1981 and an M.S. in computer science engineering from Santa Clara University in 1990.

Denniston succeeds Patrick J. Hehir in his role as vice president of manufacturing.
