Sheldon Joins PlanGraphics as Systems Analyst
FRANKFORT, Ky.-Spatial information technology integrator PlanGraphics, Inc., announces that
Douglas G. Sheldon has joined the company as a systems analyst.
Sheldon will be located in the company's Silver Spring, Md., office and will report to
Richard Goodden, Vice President, Eastern Regional office.
Sheldon attended graduate school at Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Pa., and
was a teaching assistant in the geography department. He holds a B.S. in geography from Clarion
University of Pennsylvania, Clarion, Pa.
Sheldon is experienced in Web application design and development, programming, scripting,
coding, system training, image analysis, and database applications. His specialty areas are
application development and Web GIS programming.
He is skilled with ArcInfo, ArcView, MapObjects, MapObjects IMS, ARC GRID, ArcPlot, ArcEdit,
Avenue, AML, AutoCAD Map, GeoMedia, MapInfo, Map Basic, Perl, Visual Basic, C++, MapInfo,
HTML, Fortran, Pascal, SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Access, and a variety of other applications,
operating systems, and Web and software products in networked and non-networked
environments.
Sheldon was recently a GIS programmer with URS Corporation, Gaithersburg, Md., and formerly
a GIS applications programmer with EarthData International, Gaithersburg, Md. His prior position
was a research assistant in the geography department at Pennsylvania State University,
University Park, Pa.
